OCLC and TexShare

OCLC Card

Texas A&M University is part of OCLC, a non-profit, library support organization designed to improve access sharing across libraries worldwide.

OCLC cards can be used at other participating libraries around the country to check out materials on-site for research needs.

Individual libraries set their own guidelines pertaining to how many items can be checked out and for how long.

Affiliated TAMU faculty and PhD candidates can obtain an OCLC card at the main service desk in the Evans Library (phone 979-845-3731).

TexShare

TexShare is a program of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission in partnership with academic and public libraries in Texas.

A TexShare card can be used at participating libraries to check out materials for research and study needs. Individual libraries set their own guidelines pertaining to how many items can be checked out and for how long.

Affiliated TAMU library users can obtain a TexShare card at the main service desk in the Evans Library (phone 979-845-3731) or Medical Sciences Library Client Services Center (phone 979-845-7428).

Please print and fill out the TexShare card application form and return it to the Evans Library main service desk or fax it to 979-845-6238.
