Find Study Pets and Comforts at the Libraries during Finals

Marketing and Communications | December 03, 2013

Hunker down in your favorite study space and mix your own hot chocolate during finals at the Sterling C. Evans/Annex, West Campus (WCL), Medical Sciences (MSL) and Policy Sciences and Economics (PSEL) Libraries.  Relieve your study anxieties with free chair massages in the evenings at Evans, WCL and MSL.

Staff from Student Health Services will offer massages Dec.  5, 9 and 10 from 7–9 p.m. in the Evans Library Whitley Suite (first floor, Room 105); in Room 127 at WCL and Room 202 at MSL. Professional students can relax with chair massages Dec. 2-4 at MSL in the GPS Zone, Room 113B from 7-9 p.m.

To soothe frazzled nerves and provide companionship, Aggieland Pets With A Purpose (APWAP) will bring “study buddies” for pet therapy. Pets will visit with students Dec. 5, 9 and 10 from 5–7 p.m. each night at Evans Library and from 6–7:30 p.m. at WCL and MSL. APWAP, a non-profit volunteer organization, provides trained animals for educational, rehabilitative and emotional assistance purposes.

Free hot chocolate packets and mixing supplies will be available beginning at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 8, 9, 10, at the Evans, MSL, WCL and PSEL Libraries.

Funding for these amenities comes from the Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers’ Clubs Library Endowment.
