Students hunting for the perfect study spot during finals can find lots of comfortable study space, plus late night beverages and a few comforts at the Sterling C. Evans Library and Annex and select libraries on the west side of campus.

To ease the stress that accompanies finals, students can take advantage of chair massages in the evenings at Evans and West Campus Libraries. Staff contracted by Student Health Services will offer chair massages 7-9 p.m., May 5, 9, and 10 in the Evans Library Whitley Suite (first floor), the West Campus Library in Room 127, and the Medical Sciences Library in the former “Life Savor” coffee shop area, just west of the inside entrance doors.

Free coffee and hot chocolate will be available 9:30-10 p.m., May 5, 8, 9, and 10 at the Evans and West Campus Libraries. The Policy Sciences and Economics Library will be offering coffee at 9:30 p.m., May 5, 8, and 10.

New this year will be a bubble station between Evans and the Annex where students can blow bubbles to melt away their stress. Bubble blowing time will be 2-4 p.m. May 6, 8, 9, and 10.

And the Libraries thinks everyone could use a little extra help during finals, so free pennies will be handed out to place on Sully’s boots.

“Providing comforts to sustain students during this stressful time has become a tradition at the libraries. Funding from the Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers’ Clubs Library Endowment helps cover the costs,” explained Susie Goodwin, head of public and research services.
