Text the Libraries
Marketing and Communication | February 09, 2011
Students and faculty can now text the University Libraries for quick answers to questions and help with resources. Librarians and staff will receive and respond to text messages during the scheduled times, every day of the week. The Text the Libraries service joins the Libraries' chat and email services as easy ways to communicate with librarians and staff. Users can access these services and view scheduled times at library.tamu.edu/chat.
“Texting is a great way for students, faculty and staff to get short, immediate answers to questions or even leave us feedback," explained Dennis Clark, head of Public and Research Services. "We want students to add the University Libraries to their contacts list, along with friends and family.”
